AKZENTZ – BASIC GEL TRAINING COURSE
CLASS SYLLABUS
Course Overview
This basic introductory course will introduce students to gel application. All areas of gel will be covered from nail sculptures to gel manicure. This 6 hour course is a candidate for CEU requirements, and is an excellent opportunity for students to expand their salon menu with gel services.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the class, student will have general knowledge on form placement, nail sculpture pink and white, nail overlay, and gel manicure.
General Approach
The first half of the class consists of demonstrations on nail sculptures and gel manicure. Second half of class is hands-on with students practicing techniques done at the demonstration. Gel troubleshooting and all questions will be covered throughout the class.
Course Material
Students may bring a notebook and pen. Model is optional, however if students plan to work on themselves, absence of product on the natural nail is necessary. Each student will be provided with comprehensive class notes, a class kit (Try Me Kit, oval brush, cuticle oil, 180 grit file, 20 forms) along with a 36 watt UV lamp. A certificate from Haigh Industries will be honored to students upon completion of the class.
Course Policy
A $100 USD down payment is required to reserve a spot in the class. All down payments are non-refundable. The remainder of the class fee may be paid on the day of the class. Cash, check, and all major credit cards are accepted. If there is a cancellation, students will be notified in advance, and the down payment is still valid for a make-up class.
